There's been a persistent bug where wipe screen damage doesn't match the sum of damage readouts. It only got noticed a year or so ago when Aegis started doing his literal pixel counting autism on HP bars, but it's probably existed since at least 30th Anniversary, if not longer. It recently got more publicity because the firing range has a DPS counter that uses the same counter as the wipe screen, and it's about 70% of the sum of damage dealt.
Bungie's refused to acknowledge it despite multiple CCs being vocal about how it's fucked up, so I can only assume it's a bug they're aware of and know they can't fix. Which means it's probably Tiger jank.

When you kill someone with a finisher or use Arbalest on an elemental shield, usually you are not supposed to see the damage number because it is always OHK in case of finishers or a shield break in case of Arbalest, but sometimes the game glitched out and showed you 999,999 damage (the game can process damage values in millions but the displayed damage is always capped at 999,999 for some reason). This also aligned with the fact that subclass-neutral finishers would also progress any bounties related to your subclass damage, since it is just a weirdly animated attack with massive damage inflicted. I wonder if the finisher damage you are not supposed to see still leaks into the game post EoF release.

I think the stat system is fine, it's just got a lot of growing pains. Once people farm more armor and we get more archetypes, it'll be better than 2.0.
The Tiered Loot system is good on premise, but the 100+ hours to get to loot that's an actual upgrade over 2.0 pieces is fucking insulting, and that was definitely done to pad server populations and playtimes. If they cut down the grind requirements or boost the statlines of lower tiers, it'll be good.
Portal does the job of getting you to content quickly with minimal confusion, but the fact that it's all old content and the director got greyed out obviously sours opinions of it. Beyond that I don't have a very strong opinion on it yet.

We got about a month's notice before the change, so anybody that couldn't be assed to play during Rite Of No Content got punished with most of their vault being the wrong stat distribution, yes.
Worse is that anything under T3 caps at 63 total, so finding any armor that's an actual upgrade is behind a grind where you're just doing busywork to build your world tier up. For now, 2.0 armor with a spike in Health is still probably going to be better than 90% of 3.0 armor that drops at T1/2, and still probably decent compared to most T3 armor.
