I can see why youd disagree. But honestly before it all went to shit, he definitely made Metal a pretty cool antagonist for the time. Again my issue is that he goes back to the same song and dance afterwards. Proceeds to get a moment of existential clarity during the virus arc but then proceeds to sit there and be a shit jobber machine afterwards. Its just wasted potential all things considered. Again I do hope we get a year of Metal alongside the film to cement more adoration for him, instead of trying him as a side piece.

Yeah Metal Sonic is only as calculative as Eggman can be, which makes sense since he is the first person he can bio-copy. So he can essentially work well combined with Sage's advisory role she can have alongside him.

Besides going behind Eggman's back thing, this is a wonderful idea. They can work very well together. The dynamic potential is massive. They struck gold with having another character interwoven with Eggman/Metal Sonic dynamics rather than another shitter we won't see after the initial game.
