Are you using gesture to build the foundation of your figure before you start constructing the body? The pose ref and your pic are quite a bit different in gesture alone. You're missing a lot of the action that the ref has and it weakens the drawing. You should try drawing the ref you posted again but stay faithful to the anatomy and gesture. After you get more comfortable, try drawing in your stylized form again but be sure to sketch out the gesture first.
