Wanda herself is known as the "Scarlet Witch" much like how Roy means Red. Also the plot of that show [spoiler] is that Wanda creates a massive false town to live in her own delusions with Vision, so basically a large scale false reality, like Roy Jay's strange existence. Her world is also emitting waves that can be translated into visuals and watched as a TV show (what the audience sees). Perhaps Roy is doing something similar...?
