Darktide has utterly braindead, massively dumbed down from VT2 combat system. Dodging and pushing is barely a thing now, everything instantly dies once you merely swing into their general direction. There is STILL no Stormvermin equivalent even. You just spam left click all the time. Unlike SM2 which actually retains difficulty and forces you to duel and learn enemy attack patterns
Every single mission in SM2 is drastically different and handcrafted with care, with completely unique gameplay segments. It has multiple premade boss fights even. Darkslop reuses entire areas in it's low effort missions
SM2 has 6 classes already on a release and we know Techmarine will be playable soon as well
All melee weapons have significantly more complex attack patterns down to changing combat styles and you can customize their moveset with perks on top of other gimmicky weapon perks and class perks
Instead of Nurgleslop SM2 chose interesting 2 factions from 40k with completely different playstyle and varied enemies. Variety honestly mogs the shit out of DT which has just Traitor Guard and Cultists with reskinned, functionally identical units
Instead of Reject retardation, SM2 has a proper, sensible story with cool characters
All weapons are cool and thematic for the setting instead of flooding armory with some random toothbrushes
It constantly gets updates with new weapons, missions, gamemodes, enemies etc and it released a mere year ago.
All of the basic gameplay mechanics like fucking mission and difficulty selection, equipment etc are designed sensibly instead of needing years of reworking to get them to a functional state like in DT
SM2 mogs DT so hard it's unreal really. It's objectively, straight superior in every single way, in both quantity and quality. Only actual issue it has is how hard it separates Campaign from Operations, because those great Campaign missions are stuck in a separate gamemode with no quickplay.
