I feel the same way when the term Knight is thrown around, it's stupid (to me at least) to try and hard define titles into set mechanics and goes against what the Fighter is and should be.
That said, I do love the 3.5 Knight from PHBII with all my heart in spite of it's weakness and wish wizards would do something with all this flavor they leave laying around.

Which goes into my mini rant, You could technically have a bard be a Samurai and it'd still work.
