I often get the urge to buy a Model M, but this time that urge is justified considering the fact that I need my cheap-ass membrane is on its last legs--surprised it lasted this long, what with all the swinging it around by the cable and slamming my fist onto it like a gorilla 4 teh lolz.

I have the option of buying one for <$50, but I'd also need to consider the price associated with putting together a converter or buying one.

Unicomp's Mini M caught my eye since it's an affordable alternative to an SSK, but as I understand it, there are some issues with QC, and a few other miscellaneous issues related to the controller. Can anyone with a Mini M chime in with what their experience with their particular model has been like?
