I don't know, learning is a natural and organic process, it's hard to "measure" a "cerebral" learning process. Maybe you need reference for every angle of a basic nose, or maybe at some particular iteration point your mind can start to, sort of, guess the angle or shape of a different nose "from imagination". That would depend on every person's innate "talent". But the more times you draw that nose, the more possible will be for your brain to perform that "act of talent". What I mean with a thousand noses, is that you will get to unlock the "make up a creative crazy nose from imagination". Forcing your brain onto something so apparently "simple" as drawing a nose a thousand times, will make your mind to start making shit up, you know, "thinking out of the box". A line and two holes will be forced to become a million different things, just to comply with your forced challenge. And that applies to anything ultimately. Imagine coming up with crazy poses from imagination, when you can only think in 2D standing figures. It could seem something absolutely impossible, BUT, if you can make that happen with a nose, then your brain can escalate that to other things, shapes, figures, etc.
Picrel: I was watching the RE-requiem trailer and doodled some noses lol
