Literally just read Joseph P. Farrell. The book Saucers, Swastikas, and Psyops goes into this in great detail, both the technological and financial aspects. Why were early UFO "contactees" connected to fascist organizations in the US? Do you really think that was just a coincidence?
Do you think all of the published scientific papers from the 1930s-50s about antigravity technology were just...fake? Do you think Die Glocke(Bell) literally didn't exist? How to reconcile the fact that the "Kecksburg UFO" so closely resembled The Bell, despite the fact that The Bell's existence wasn't even confirmed until the fall of the USSR in the early 90s and the release of their confiscated Nazi files?
I think you don't give the human mind enough credit. We Went from using candles for light in the 1840s to utilizing nuclear energy for weaponry and power in the 1940s. Is it really that inconceivable that anti-gravity/free-energy techniques may have also been discovered? Also, goes without saying but if that kind of technology did exist, and was developed, then any kind of megastructures or off-world civilizations would be much more feasible and less difficult to build.
Please read this book before continuing to talk out your ass. I didn't really take any of this seriously beforehand either. Truth is there probably aren't any aliens the way we think of them, UFOs are just piloted by a breakaway group of regular human beings with advanced technology and physics theories that are being forcefully kept from the rest of us
