The internet has been going downhill since 2009 but even at its worst there were still small enclaves of autists holding out. What has honestly killed the internet for me is the tsunami wave of third worlders that have been flooding everywhere since roughly 2018. I noticed a distinct shift in the tone of internet culture post-Covid and I attribute it 100% to the jeet invasion. These people have zero recollection of the "mythos" of the old internet and feed directly from smartphones into reddit, 4chan, and twitter massively shitting up every corner of every community.
To think that half of them don't even have internet access yet.

I think the biggest reason for people turning against jeets was interacting with jeets on the internet. That and that jeet who was crying over Apu in the simpsons, then they got rid of Apu, so the only Indian representation in popular culture are call center scammers.
