Challenged myself to do some improvements on this for fun and I'll share it here as you don't seem to mind critique. It's rough but I'll just outline a couple points I think would help you a ton.
1. Mind the contrast of light and shadow. Imo just a tone curve brightening the light and darkening the darks does wonders already.
2. You're free to do anything in art so use composition in your favor. Notably here I just got rid of the right column of light in favor of the character, made the arch form read better using the left column of light and finally made the dead dude standout by outlining him with the reflected light. That also gets to another point which is that the floor is portrayed very reflective but the harsh light sources you have don't reflect in a believable way.
3. Think of how you can make things more 3d and interesting. You can see me do that with the blood flow and expanding the floor in the archway a bit to not have it look so flat.
