Managed to break free from my desk. 30 minute drawing, just on bristol and with a single marker (that's all I had). First time drawing a reptile, the result is better than I expected. Though it is also not that hard, the forms are clear (no fur in the way), and the texture is clear too.
Something I should've put in the OP, is to ALWAYS draw from life, if you can at least. Find your nearest taxidermic place or whatever for the initial practice, then if you feel confident enough draw live animals (I've only done this once, it's a good exercise because it forces you to be quick and capture the essence, but I'm not yet confident enough to keep doing it).
