What you are seeing is the new login screen. The 4 characters you see don't matter, it's just aesthetic.
Your characters, regardless of realm and faction, are part of your "Warband" now. Almost all reputations are shared between them. All quest progress is shared too. Any xmog you find regardless of class you loot it on, gets added to your collection.
You can send gold, mats, some gear, etc throughout your warband.
There are no longer and forced mandatory grinds you have to do like back in Shadowlands or BFA.
