each heirloom gear slot requires like 5 linear upgrades done in order to make the heirloom actually go to 70, and each of those upgrades is 1000 timewalking badges, with the timewalking dungeons themselves rewarding 10 badges per boss and 500 badges once per week, you have like 14 gear slots depending on weapons, so you'd need lets see 14 slots times 5 heriloom upgrade levels times 1000 badges a piece

you'd need around 70,000 badges to fully upgrade heirlooms for just one of the cloth, leather, mail, or plate sets. at around 50 badges per dungeon run (lets say you do 5 time walking runs a week for the weekly) plus the 500 weekly bonus, that would take you 93 timewalking weeks worth of badges to complete just one of the armor types up to level 70 for heirlooms.

Heirlooms aren't worth the gold anymore honestly. Buy some pieces for less than 100g each from the AH and youll one shot everything while leveling and replacing them with questing rewards, then at lvl 70 do the same thing but buy cheap pieces again.

yeah gold is much easier to farm out and the same amount per piece, 1000g. so you'd still need 70000 gold total, but thats a hell of a lot easier to farm than 70000 badges.

that said, frankly i wouldnt even bother. this whole gear curve issue is like 20 minutes of frustration in the few levels between 50-70 which is like 5-10 dungeon runs worth of xp or an hour of questing, and you can just get gear upgrades from the dragonflight world quests or, at 70, doing the emerald dream intro questline which gives you a full set of gear including weapon at ilvl 450 which will steamroll the first 5 levels of khaz algar and that questline only takes about 45 minutes to do.

so like yeah, if you're a gold haver and just have piles of gold sitting around, you could buy the upgrades, but unless you are constantly leveling new characters every day its probably not even worth the effort.

it was a much bigger difference when the level cap was 100+ and the XP gains from questing and dungeons were like 1/4 of what they were now and it took weeks to level a guy from scratch, but these days where 1-70 takes a single afternoon its not worth the investment in my opinion

That is true and also why so many people gravitated towards maze. But now once you hit a certain key level - 15/16/17 etc, maze+ becomes even worse. It's literally a 30 minute boss where you have to remember 45 different casts that instantly kill you without a defensive and if anything goes wrong you not only lose 25 minutes, you have to go do homework keys to get back to the level you were at before.

I'm sorry, but I prefer doing 20 wipes on a boss than wiping on a key and get punished by having to do a lower level I have already done before, that's completely retarded. They have gotten faster at nerfing bosses after the 2 chosen guilds kill them, so maybe this tier with the higher interest in raiding they can do better. It's actually the first raid in a while that looks good. Ion actually did it.

Disc being the top healer last two seasons had nothing to do with its (kind of bad) damage output and high end Maze healing has not been determined primarily through healer dps output in a pretty long time. The two biggest back to back eras of healer dps throughput being relevant were BfA's "only resto druid all the time forever" which was compounded on rdruid having a metric fuck ton of other stuff going on with it and shaman/Hpal fighting back and forth for three seasons during SL because their covenant abilities gave healing and dps throughput no other healer could match.

If you divide every relevant M+ season out to dominant healers Resto Druid has been the consistently most used healer for push content followed by Hpal (whose utility suite was just as relevant as its ability to do damage, there were multiple seasons where Hpal was relevant and did sort of middling to low damage as a healer). There is absolutely zero hiearchy in any given M+ season of the top healer being the one with the most damage brought.

Almost 30 characters. Ran all of my level appropriate alts through ICC over the last three days. No invincible drop. Idk, I’m pretty discouraged now and don’t really want to continue with this fucking shit. Between the unskippable RP dialogue and having to kill the entire raid, I’m sick to my stomach of this place. What do you guys think northrend is going to look in the last titan? I'm assuming they'll turn zul'drak into a raid and probably merge some of the other zones into one larger ones. Would blizz really release an expansion with more than 4 zones in the future?
