I garuantee you that 99% of the /pol/ who hate Faerin wouldn't mind her existence if they only also weren't blatant about their bias against male and especially white male characters, and het relationships. If Faerin hung out with Anduin a bunch, they learned from one another, and then the story moved on from her to focus on Anduin and him acting actually masculine like his dad and being a straight role model, and maybe getting a hot WHITE woman/elf as his loyal wife, people would love it.

But part of the reason people hate characters like Faerin is that it's obvious they were created with the intention to REPLACE legacy straight/white/male characters or combinations of those three. It's obvious threat perception.

The "Metzen kino" thing turned out to be a lie. WoW story is run by a democratic process. Metzen is the Warcraft franchise director and not even on the WoW team specifically.
