thanks nona :) i have been working really hard on the screams so it is nice to hear that it is paying off. i was definitely not whispering, though.......i think my voice was just tired. i had been singing and screaming for a while prior to recording
>how screwed am I?
not! a little clocky but i think you think you sound way worse than you really do. your voice sounds maybe a little nasal and breathy, but that's all i hear. you said you felt like you were whispering; maybe try giving your voice a little more support?

i personally like your low-effort voice more and if you feel comfortable speaking that way i think you should! i don't think your high-effort voice sounds annoying, but it definitely sounds less natural. you're a bit muffled by your microphone so i'm not super-duper sure but it sounds like your voice is a little nasal, too, like your tongue is maybe too close to your palate at the back of your mouth.
>I like the way your voice sounds this morning better
is there any reason? i'm definitely speaking a little higher in yesterday's recording because i'm warmed up and with a clear throat, but i'm not sure i was consciously doing anything different
>I didn't really get it and I'm kinda scared to try it
if it's something you'd like to be able to do i think you should work on it! it's definitely not the easiest thing to figure out and you should be careful you don't hurt yourself, but i literally just figured out how to do it properly a few months ago and it is some of the most fun i have ever had doing vocals!

this is how i do it, if it helps at all :)
