Life not having some great universal meaning was never something that bothered me. Maybe I'm one of the few people who actually kinda finds it comforting how unimportant we are in the grand scheme of things.
The beauty of life is finding YOUR meaning, a reason to move forward and a goal you want to accomplish or just figuring out what makes you happy. Something that makes you feel like you're living not just surviving. To feel human and not like a zombie.
When we die the world keeps on moving like nothing happened, but what about those close to us? For them it's not just another day: it's a tragedy. They will remember that day just like you would if it was them. And it's funny because the less people know about it more special it feels. Like the equivalent of a secret hideout, something you share with only a select few you trust. And it leaves a lasting impact on us.
There was this game I played a while back that had this idea how your world stops when someone you love dies. And I think that's beautiful. Tragic but romantic. We all have our own worlds. And those worlds will disappear with us. But those we leave behind won't. They'll have to deal with the fallout. And you just hope one day you get to reunite, even if it's just in your dreams.
