X-Buster is another name for it. Rockbuster Mark-17 would be the model name, implying there are about 16 other X-Busters and obviously included to show how advanced he his. Those 16 other models would all be former X-Busters, but this most recent one is "the" X-Buster. Rockbuster Mark-17 is in parentheses because it is the more specific of the two terms. It's like writing The Rock (Dwayne Johnson). That one man has two names, but they would be used in different contexts for different reasons, so they are both provided to the reader to clear up ambiguities or provide relevant information. Sure, you could argue that The Rock is not his "real name" for whatever reason, but he is arguably more recognized under it than his birth name. It would be foolish to insist that "The Rock" is not a name for Dwayne Johnson when it prompts recognition of him specifically in so many people. So for whatever reason it's done, both X-Buster and Rock/Megabuster Mark-17 are valid names. So
>There is no weapon named the X Buster. X's weapon is the Rockbuster Mark 17.
is 100% false.

Sure, it's not its "production name", but that isn't semantically the same as it's "name" without any qualifiers. And I'd argue that the best "name" for anything with no qualifiers is one that's true but also the most widely recognized.
