It'd also be a cool relationship "mechanic" to have MJ be much more a normie than Parker, not really being part of the cape scene and not sharing its (somewhat warped) views and having better common sense than most of the invincible and omnipotent dunces that populate the cape crowd:

But at the same time she could've gotten a slightly primitive animalistic side from the symbiote? She generally keeps this well in check since she's a strong-willed person but whenever something makes her lose control, the children or Parker being in imminent and mortal danger etc, she'll go all out in a predatory Wolverine kind of fasion: No quips or show-offing, just rending and tearing until the threat's been thoroughly eviscerated. Parker might recognize this and tries to talk her down if he sees another possible solution.
