Modern SUV's don't give you a lot of bang for your buck. If you only have two kids you're much better off with a half ton or larger crew cab pickup. You can get them new and decently equipped for $50k. Statistically they're one of the safest vehicles you can drive and they have pretty ridiculous resale values. Their fuel economy is going to be on par or better than that Lexus. Also ignore anybody suggesting a minivan. They're extremely overrated and expensive which is why they don't sell.

2 row SUV's and crossovers usually have fuck-all for cargo room. Most 3 row SUV's/crossovers with the third row folded down offer much more cargo room which matters when you have big ass strollers to haul.
