If he acts on impulse, then he really CAN'T be admirable because it's not a conscious action! How can it be that what he does is admirable if it's not even he who's doing it? It's not his strong will doing the work! He's not pushing himself to do something that's unnatural, or pushing himself to do something when every fiber of his body screams for him to run away or do the opposite (Like a real virtuous hero like Tails would).
