I didn't bother looking into it myself because I don't really care so take what I about to say with a grain of salt. Apparently his lectures are in English because he teaches the children of Westerners at an institution for Westerners. The parents want their kids to be fashionably educated in a rising power but don't want them actually being taught anything non-western.
