Mykola Shot, a 40-year-old veteran from Lviv, lost both his arms and legs as a result of a mortar attack. But even four amputations did not stop him from returning to one of his greatest passions - driving.
Mykola has 20 years of driving experience. And for him, getting back behind the wheel after such a severe injury was incredibly important. To make that possible, Oles Solodukha, a prosthetist at the UNBROKEN Center, modified Mykola's adapted car with special elements on the steering wheel and doors.
"I'm no longer dependent on anyone. I can go wherever I need without asking anyone for extra help," Mykola shares joyfully.
The video shows Mykola Shot's car ride and his first impressions behind the wheel again.
