solo kitten will go crazy during the morning and evening because that's just how kittens are, they'll want to play. will sleep a lot during the day. afaik with kittens they shouldn't be left alone for too long, maybe ideally like 3-4 hours at 3 months and then add 1 hour extra for every month that they grow. just give the kitten lots of toys if you'll leave it home alone, and play with it when you return and maybe a bit in the morning. when I had a solo kitten I played around 45 minutes with it every day til the age of 6-7 months when he calmed down a bit and I reduced play time to 15 minutes, but every cat is different. the new kitten is a bit crazier, but he has an adult cat now to wear him down. you can also give him some automated interactive toys, or toys like those tunnels/circuits with a ball in them for them to push around. that will also keep it busy for a lot in my experience
