Nice Fugology. Anyway I always assumed the ORAS games would at least explain why Rayquaza's Mega form was so unique, as in why it had a "Mega" while Groudon/Kyogre had "Primal" forms, but I guess they never bothered. Your cancer patient Fug idea would make sense though.
