>>57889510In Madoka Magica, the girls are manipulated by Kyubey into trading their souls for power. The girls are motivated by stuff like wanting to protect people they care about, and they think being magical girls will help them do that. On Kyubey's side his secret motivation is protecting the universe from entropy, and with a goal so big he has no reason to give a shit if a bunch of naive magical girls suffer and die horribly in the process.
So swap Kyubey for Giratina, the magical girls with Mays, and their motives with ones unique to each of their individual personalities.
Regarding the lore of the "Ingrained" creepypasta, what would be worse:
>All of mankind went extinct, and you're the last human alive, damned to suffer for all eternity. You're just a living memorial of a long lost civilization, for no one.
>There are survivors and they managed to rebuilt civilization, but they're unaware you are still alive. While the history of mankind continues, your tormented soul has been forgotten.
>>57889552The second one. In the first option, the fact humans no longer exist is kind of negated by the fact (You) the reader exist to acknowledge May's suffering, and there's just nowhere to go from there. The second one seems more tragic because not only do humans exist, they don't know May is down there, so they'll probably go back to polluting the ocean with sewage and oil spills for her to enjoy. Which might actually twist her soul and make her hate humanity for abandoning her, opening up the tragedy to becoming a potential future revenge quest if you want to go there. Alternatively, maybe someone eventually does find evidence of May having existed or surviving, not long before May herself somehow starts making herself known to civilization again.

>>57889543What "for the greater good" does to a mf.
>>57889581>and there's just nowhere to go from there.Well, you could explore what effects her predicament would have on her mind. From a philosophical standpoint, it would be about how beauty gets corrupted and how it tries to withstand this deterioration:
>Would she immediately succumb to or resist the pressure (in desperate hope of someone still being out there)? Would she mentally regress, and to what extend? What would an insane May be like?>How would her personality change? Would she lose all of her positive traits? What negative ones would define her now?>How would she deal with her guilt? Would she blame herself for not being able to prevent any of this? Or would she blame others, like Team Aqua? Or even start to lash out on her allies, like her Roselia, who inadvertently caused their endless suffering?>Would she reflect her situation during inner monologues, or have dialogues with hallucinations of past people she once knew?>How would she experience the five stages of grief?SCP-7179 is one interesting example of exploring this concept (Though having big timeskips of mere sextillion years destroys any sense of immersion).
It doesn't have to be an entirely gloomy ending, there's still a - really, REALLY slim - chance of fallers ending up in post-apocalypse Hoenn. Who could have the necessary equipment to locate and rescue her. Granted, there must be VERY good reasons for why anything in that scenario would happens, so it doesn't end up as a ridiculous fanfic just for the sake of a happy ending. But it could be interesting to see how May reacts being back up at the surface, how she realizes they're what's left of the old world, and how she moves forward from that point on (it could be a brand new start, if you manage to ignore your past. Or just conclude your life, as you soul is too worn out).
>>57889581The horror in the second scenario could be downplayed a bit, as it has the possibility of a "good" ending. Sure, until someone finds her, a couple hundred years might have passed, which is bad on its own, but it's still a conclusion. The first one doesn't have that.
>they'll probably go back to polluting the ocean with sewage and oil spills for her to enjoy. Which might actually twist her soul and make her hate humanity for abandoning her, opening up the tragedy to becoming a potential future revenge quest if you want to go there.>So basically Az, but it's the former protagonist and the dynamics are reversed: A tragic hero becoming a vengeful villain.>After being rescued, she learns that the apocalyse nearly wiped out all of mankind, but a fraction survived and managed to rebuilt society. >She has been at the bottom of the ocean for a few hundred years. Gets told she could have been saved a couple decades earlier, but there were more pressing matters at that time and people didn't cared. May is hurt inside, but dismisses her feelings as she's currently more grateful to be safe now.>Becomes famous as she's somewhat of a timetraveler. Gets invited to talk about what life was back then and how being trapped on the bottom of the ocean felt like.>After some time, May starts to see how bad the world is. She realizes it wasn't any better back then. Mankind was at the brink of extinction, and yet, it continues to be careless.>Tries to adress these issues, but most people don't care.>Starts to become resentful, and wonders if Team Aqua's fuck up wasn't a mistake.>Despite her failure back then, she proves to be still a formidable trainer and coordinator. Coupled with this, she uses her fame to gather a cult following.>Under the pretext of having a vision of how to change the world for the better, she secretly plans to reenact the apocalypse again.
Glad that pic ended up being the thread image. Hoenn is such a lovely place, showing it off with the best girl is such a good idea.
>>57890049>Basically like Lysandre, except she wants the entire world - including herself - to be gone. No sinful survivors.>Her plan slowly takes shape, as with her cuteness and innocence, she's able to manipulate people into believing her apparently good cause. I mean, how could that girl who's terrified of water have anything nefarious in mind, right?>"She believes being a girl has its advantages".jpg>Though her efforts get hindered by a curious and eager amateur journalist (who would be another protagonist) who's snooping around.>At first it's nothing serious, but then that kid finds out what May really wants to achieve. So he / she tries to stop her.>Final battle is between her and that future protag. The former a protagonist who was wronged by everything and everyone and lost any hopes for this world. The latter a reflection of what May was back then, a kid full of naive ideals and hopes.Sounds kino.
>>57889843I like the idea of Ingrained May eventually going nuts, lashing out at Roselia and blaming it for their predicament, because it'd be such an easy thing to do. Assuming they can communicate at the bottom of the ocean, there can be conflict where May begs Roselia to let her die, but Roselia refuses. And if May continues to harass and blame Roselia for everything, their relationship can be ruined (pair this with flashbacks of how May met Roselia in the first place, or what made Roselia so loyal to her to begin with). I also like the idea of May getting rescued far in the future, except I don't see her starting a new life afterwards, that's too much of a happy ending. So maybe some people just fish her up and she lives just long enough for everyone to get video proof of it, only to flop over dead on the boat/pier, either because her body/soul is too worn out, or she just gave up upon realizing everyone she cared about is dead.
The final tragedy would be Roselia still being alive (it was rescued with May). May not hanging on for its sake means Roselia's years of keeping its trainer alive were useless, that their relationship didn't endure the tragedy they experienced together. That maybe if Roselia had just let May die to begin with, at least May would've died her friend. But now Roselia is alone, captured by strangers for scientific study.
I guess I want May to be found so she can leave a tangible legacy on future civilization, so her experience has a purpose beyond just navel gazing/torture porn. But to keep the creepypasta depressing, she dies soon after being found, so she'd never experience the fruits of her legacy herself. One of Pokemon's biggest themes is also the relationship between humans and Pokemon, and by couching a lot of this story in the deteriorating bond between May and Roselia, you can end up with something surprisingly "on brand" for an edgy creepypasta. While also making it even more tragic than the base concept.
>>57890136>"She believes being a girl has its advantages".jpgAutomatically most based idea posted so far. Danger May
>>57890136>Though her efforts get hindered by a curious and eager amateur journalist (who would be another protagonist) who's snooping around.>At first it's nothing serious, but then that kid finds out what May really wants to achieve. The latter a reflection of what May was back then, a kid full of naive ideals and hopes.Wait this is just like the Red vs Gold battle at the top of Mt Silver. >>57890139>there can be conflict where May begs Roselia to let her die, but Roselia refuses.Roselia is just another prisoner like May. Ingrain maintains itself as a passive effect unless who- or whatever is rooted faints (= dies). I think my other May figure comes in, it's just a key chain thing so it'll be small but I think it'll be a good addition. As for figure making, my stupid kid ass once bought a tiny piece of Sculpey clay, made a shitty figure, baked it in the oven and now the thing is still sitting on my desk decades later. Nothing exploded basically and it's lasted a long time. If you don't want to overthink things by going down a tutorial rabbit hole for weeks, I'd just get some Sculpey or some other cheap clay that can be oven baked and just try it out.

Question for the lore-savy anons here (game ORAS related):
As Kyogre / Groudon was artificially awakened (after Team Aqua / Magma exposed it to its corresponding orb), would its nemesis naturally awake as well?
As far as I can tell, both always appear as a clashing duo, but there was always something naturally occuring that caused them both to wake up (in the anime (Mega evolution special), there's this giant crystal thingy; in Hoenn's lore, there were these energy surges which both desired). During the events of ORAS, there wasn't such a powerful energy source present. Meaning they shouldn't wake up on their own, right? The opposite team also takes on a mediatory stance, showing no interest in waking the other legendary up (at least in the games).
Additionally, would Rayquaza intervene when only one of the two went on a rampage? Or would it be necessary for both Kyogre and Groudon to clash with each other?
>>57897798We donโt know for sure. The anime tends to scale legendaries down whereas the games scale them up. Old lore associated with them had singular awakenings being worshiped occasionally, which is why you see those special areas being constructed in Johto by Hoenn travelers. Of course in ORAS this has all changed, Kyogre and Groudon are now sort of just monstrous disasters that only want to consume energy.
Based on the paintings in Dewford Cave and how the orbs now function, Fug may not appear at all if only one wakes up.
Today there was a good video uploaded at gelbooru depicting Dawn and May having sex. Very nice
>>57897456hands should be on boobies
>>57898114They were. You can tell that she's pulled herself upward and out from fully under the blanket. His hands are out out of view, under the blanket and just below her boobs, and his cock is lodged firmly in her butt, where it's been all night as they slept.
>>57897798I never finished ORAS and forgot about the RS story because I spent so much time on Emerald. So I often forget there are Hoenn timelines where only one of either Groudon and Kyogre wake up, and that Rayquaza actually doesn't come down to stop their clash.
>>57898407I forgot that in ORAS he actually does come down to quell them when they cause too much solo damage. Zinniaโs plan was to wake one up and have Rayquaza come down to stop them and then blow up the incoming meteor.
>>57898521The story really feels incomplete if it's just Groudon or Kyogre without the other.
2nd fig came in today! tiny, tiny thing. I had trouble getting it on the little stand there- I couldn't tell if it had scratches before or it was from me trying to fit it into the stand. Still I really like this one! Cute!
>>57898655very qt, I would recommend you get some plushies too.
>>57898608>So this is Ash's girlfriend? Hmph!
>>57898669I think I meant to make a post complaining about it, but I've only found ORAS May plushes, nothing for the original design. I know a friend who got a custom plush made, I might just pay out for it but it's a lot pricier than buying even a rare one. If anyone knows of some good may plushes lmk
>>57898655You have a cover to keep the dust off of those things, right? Figures get dusty real quick.
>>57898823Nope, never really had much figures before, anything you recommend? I'm also looking for a base or something to put them on. Maybe make a recreation of where you get the pokemon from birch or somehting.
>>57898884Any transparent acrylic box works, some hobby stores sell fancier display cases for figures specifically too. The best kinds of covers are both dustproof and waterproof. I'd prioritize getting any kind of cover box before getting more merch, because once dust and shedded skin cells start covering your figures it's annoying to clean them, and you might even damage them in the cleaning process.
>>57897456>a few months later
>>57898926The clear box kinda ruins the look for me, I could maybe decorate it but it really puts a downer on how cute and comfy the figs are. I'll look up how people approach it, I've seen some semi-sealed clear drawers that could be neat. But i certainly get protecting them, as I cleared my desk for a tonal revamp I noticed the figs had gotten quite nasty.
>>57897919>Old lore associated with them had singular awakenings being worshiped occasionally, which is why you see those special areas being constructed in Johto by Hoenn travelers.Interesting, where exactly? Location?
>>57898521Though that's questionable as well. Delta Episode states that Fug cannot go Mega anymore, so it might not appear due to being not powerful enough. Or if it confronts Primal Kyogre / Groudon, it might lose or have a stalemate or win, the lore implies base form Rayquaza managed to take down both Primal Kyogre and Prima Groudon 2000 years ago. So why that Mega evolution in the first place? Idk, the lore has some obvious plotholes (like why is it the meteorite in the player's inventory that restores Fug's Mega ability, when it could have eaten those in the ozone layer, as its Pokรฉdex entry implies?)
>>57898564I think that the awakening of either Kyogre or Groudon is a metaphor for humanity's meddling having catastrophic consequences for the entire ecosystem, even on a planetary scale. As Rayquaza is the mediatory power among the weather trio, it represents nature's capability to balance these extremes out. Though it's left open if it succeeds or fails and one of the reasons for me asking the question in the first place.
>>57899082>Interesting, where exactly? Location?Embedded Tower on Johto Route 47.
>>57899082iirc base Fug is equal to Primal Kyogre and Groudon, and Mega Fug superior to them since Delta Stream saps their power. I think Mega Fug coming into being was simply coincidental.

>>57899110Thank you.
>>57899131>base Fug is equal to Primal Kyogre and GroudonWhich should be sufficient already, to balance things out. Unless order is supposed to be more dominant, though that seems counter-intuitive, given how entropy and chaos works.

>>57899269Yes
https://e-hentai.org/s/3860136028/477925-1
>>57899275Athletic people tend to have firmer butts, but girls generally have extra body fat even if otherwise skinny, which is what makes them softer and squishier than guys. So it could be either, I think Sapphire is surprisingly squishy though. Like how Japanese fan videos always give her the voice actress with the girliest/highest pitched voice which might be surprising to some, it's funny combined with the accent.

>>57899207Kek, you might be onto something.
>"Rayquaza is bitter enemies with Deoxys...">"Deoxys was formed by the mutation of a virus from space."The entire Hoenn lore is just a metaphor for Fug's chemotherapy.
>>57899188So, according to Hoenn's history
>https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Hoennthere were two event in the past when Kyogre, Groudon and Rayquaza clashed (we have no data on present time, but we can estimate the power levels). Rayquaza won every time by being more powerful than the other two weather legendaries. Notice that it managed to do this 2000 years ago, WITHOUT Mega evolution. That's what happened 1000 years ago. So the Mega evolution is just a neat bonus to make the fuggin' sky serpent more OP that it already was. Which is ... okay, but weird. Like, you could leave the Mega evolution out, and Fug would still come out on top.
>>57899954Now, if we imagine that Fug gets weaker over time - for whatever reason, then those events make more sense. You have an overall downward trend, which leads to Rayquaza being weaker than Primal Kyogre and Primal Groudon. To counter this, Fug got a Mega evolution 1000 years ago, and in present time, during Delta Episode, Fug got its chemo power up to keep the Mega evolution going.
>>57899928>What if environmental pollution is what made Sapphire's ass big? Then we must have Sapphire bathe in garbage... for research purposes.
>>57899928>gay frogs>massive assI think we're talking about the same chemicals.
>>57899954>>57899969Nice Fugology. Anyway I always assumed the ORAS games would at least explain why Rayquaza's Mega form was so unique, as in why it had a "Mega" while Groudon/Kyogre had "Primal" forms, but I guess they never bothered. Your cancer patient Fug idea would make sense though.

>Anyway I always assumed the ORAS games would at least explain why Rayquaza's Mega form was so unique, as in why it had a "Mega" while Groudon/Kyogre had "Primal" forms, but I guess they never bothered. All we know is the Primal forms are some sort of "force of nature" evolutions, and that's about it. As for Fug, it's profits the most from Mega evolution, as it has a special organ that acts as a Mega Stone (mikado organ).
What's even more interesting nothing official, just another theory: The meteorite you give Fug is possibly something more powerful than a Mega Stone. There's this quote by Maxie:
>"Yes, here...to this very Meteorite. If we create the right conditions, we should find ourselves able to alter this Meteorite's qualities. Yes, even into a Mega Stone. Even into a Key Stone."It basically states that the meteorite is neither a Key nor a Mega Stone, but some sort of precursor. Potentially even more powerful, as it combines both the traits of a Key and a Mega Stone. So no wonder Mega Fug is so overly overpowered, it's on some serious arcane space steroids.
>>57899954I forget, was the sootopolis crater before or after mega fug? Or during?
>>57900557Before.
>Meteor strikes Earth.>Crater's full of Primal Energy.>Both PrimKyogre and PrimGroudon want that.>Ancient people found some weird rock and thought how funny it would be if we break the meta by wishing for some overpowered pokemon.>Fug Mega evolves and slaps some cheeks.
>>57900493That adds up. For game May, here's some Sugimori art, her hips are wide but as usual the RSE bag covers everything.
>>57900741Wally's gazing at dem MayMays.
>>57900544In the manga's storyline, since the events of RSE and the ORAS Delta Episode take place in the same continuity without multiverse stuff, they couldn't/didn't want to retcon the RSE Meteorite key item (which got destroyed during the RS arc and never had multiple forms) like the ORAS games did. So in the ORAS story arc what ultimately makes manga Fug mega evolve, besides a bunch of Key Stones/muh friendship/eating falling meteorites (generic non key item ones), is the Jade Orb. The Jade Orb was introduced in gen 4 games (HGSS) but PokeSpe had made up a "Green Orb" even earlier during its adaptation of RS. So later in the ORAS arc they just conveniently turn the Green Orb into the Jade Orb in some laboratory, so it basically changed forms. So in the manga, the equivalent of the ORAS (game) Meteorite key item is the Jade Orb.
The manga's Jade Orb is supposed to help the user control manga Fug, but this Fug has PTSD and hates literally everyone and just tries to kill them even if they're holding the thing. The only person Fug ever liked in recent history was Aster, to the point Fug tries to follow Aster's ghost or some shit. Fug's attitude only changes when Sapphire finally holds the Jade Orb. Which somehow lets her hear and understand Fug's voice, where previously no one else holding it could do the sane, so they couldn't understand Fug's feelings beyond guessing. So Sapphire ends up being the only person Fug likes at least at first, letting her pet it and smack it and it doesn't care. And then at least for awhile Fug is clearly on the protagonists' side long enough for them to figure some plot shit out. Sapphire may also be the reason why Fug stops trying to kill Ruby.
>>57900991This is what hints at Sapphire's parallel to Aster, and why most people believe Sapphire's the true Lorekeeper. In the ORAS arc both Ruby and Zinnia compete for the Lorekeeper role, often sabotaging everything and everyone in their way, but what they're actually competing for is first entry into a psych ward. Neither of them have the ability to hear Fug's voice which would impair their ability to bond with it and all that shit. Of course the ORAS arc is full of good ideas being horribly executed so a lot of this is overshadowed by Ruby's constant sperging.
There's also how the RS arc was big on how both Ruby and Sapphire were needed to control the Red and Blue Orbs, so there were 2 chosen ones. Which creates the expectation they would also be the 2 chosen ones in ORAS, and even Ruby frames the conversation like "please be Lorekeeper with me" as if there can be two Lorekeepers. But since only Sapphire has Fug bonding powers, it's implied only she could be the real Lorekeeper. Which further emphasizes the existing narrative around Ruby going as far back as RS: that one, his rampant mental illness often just gets in Sapphire's (and everyone else's) way, and two, he's so emotionally dependent on Sapphire that he'll lie to everyone, including her and even himself just to get his way/stay with her.
>>57901079Anyway Sapphire's eventual bond with Fug also implies she's a 5D chess mentally ill remix of a previous protagonist, Yellow. They both shill the PokeSpe idea of "peak nature powers = having the purest heart/highest empathy lets you understand Pokemon voices". In the Yellow arc, Yellow's nature power empathy caused conflict by making her a pacifist in a world where she must fight, then facing her foil Lance, a character whose empathy drove him to terrorism kek. But in the RS arc, Sapphire's inner conflict came from how her nature power empathy was limited, since she tried to separate the power from the empathy part. Because in her head
>showing too much unironic affection = empathy = feminine = weak = badwhich is also why she used to be tsundere (emotionally repressed and mad about it) in early RS, she just wanted to be strong and so was insecure about being girly, including being emotionally honest.
Which is also why her later love confession to Ruby was so significant, it was the ultimate show of vulnerability. She even said she didn't expect him to reply/reciprocate her feelings, as that wasn't even the point, the point was her finally not repressing her empathetic feminine side anymore. In the end the usual irony is that it's never Sapphire's punching strength that saves the world, it's always her empathy for others. And only by ORAS has she chilled out enough to hear a Pokemon's thoughts/voice too, as living with Ruby for 4 years is a 24/7 exercise in patience and managing her temper. Which is how their relationship becomes relevant again.
But back to manga Fug, giving Sapphire the ability to understand Pokemon without a magic rock would retcon the Yellow arc, and desu Sapphire already has enough OP powers (that's why she keeps getting nerfed/written out, she'd make everyone else useless). So for now the only Pokemon voice she's heard is Fug's and she needed the Jade Orb to do it.
>>57900991>Having both cancer and PTSD.Being Fug isn't easy.
>>57901098>Sapphire already has enough OP powers What would be more overpowered than having an ICBM as a pet?
>>57900493>AniMay's is bigger than Dawn'sTruly the greatest swerve.
So... is Sapphire aware she has this "massive" ass that everyone claims she has, or is she oblivious to having it, like how some interpretations of AniMay have her oblivious to her massive tits? And is part of Ruby's extreme emotional dependence also that he doesn't want to lose that booty?
What's up with people calling rayquaza Fug?
>>57901595Considering Sapphire lives in the wild and is pretty oblivious to most societal ideas, I think she wouldn't realise there's anything to be conscious of about having a big booty.
I like imagining Ruby would be very aware of it though.
>>57901891One of the only things keeping Ruby from going completely off the deep end and ending it all is the knowledge that, one day soon, he will gain unlimited access to Hoenn's fattest ass for the rest of his days.

>>57901891It'd be kinda funny if AniMay and Sapphire crossed over, and at some point they just starting silently comparing bodies: Sapphire confused about a busty version of herself and AniMay realizing how she'd look with an even bigger butt but smaller boobs.
>>57901595Sapphire doesn't care about appearances, it's a trait that's played up to contrast Ruby, who is way too obsessed with appearances. That's why she doesn't care about getting dirty or taking her clothes off in front of random people. And being mentally retarded (to contrast Ruby's shrewd intelligence), she might not even notice the size of her own ass. Sapphire's an autist who grew up isolated in the wild, so she might not understand why normal girls obsess and compete over appearances so much.
>>57901891>>57901908Depending on how you look at it, Ruby might already have her ass. He canonically makes all of Sapphire's clothing and has taken her measurements in order to do so. Not only would he notice Sapphire's ass, he has to measure her whole ass to make her clothes. And since the RS/E/ORAS arcs span Sapphire undergoing puberty, Ruby would have to retake her ass measurements all the time as her body grew bigger. Ruby also just likes making clothes for her in general (their recolored Emerald arc outfits have no functional reason to exist beyond Ruby wanting them to have matching color coded outfits), so he's not restricted to only measuring her when necessary, he probably just does it for the lols too. Or if he just wants a regular excuse to grope her.
Either way, by this point Ruby probably has enough raw measurement data to plot the exponential growth of Sapphire's ass on a scientific chart. Same goes for her chest and every other part of her body. Ruby being a tailor is a great cover story to obscure the fact he's completely obsessed.
>>57902154And even if he didn't notice anything special about the size of her ass the first time he measured it for her original set of clothes, surely by ORAS he's noticed how big it's gotten.

Alright, letโs improve the โIngrainedโ creepypasta.
We should take a look at what the story is about first.
>Bad ending, where May failed to stop Team Aqua.
>Everything's submerged, her chances of survival are non-existent.
>All her pokemon except for a Roselia are said to have drowned.
>Finally starts to drown as well.
>Not bearing the thought of its trainer dying, Mayโs desperate Roselia uses the move "Ingrain" on itself and its friend.
>Turns out this was a terrible idea.
>The roots bind them to the bottom of the ocean, and the regeneration provided by Ingrain prevents them from dying.
>Probably too weak to free themselves, both are now trapped in an endless loop of drowning and being revived.
>Likely stuck in this watery hell for all eternity, as no one will ever come to their rescue.
>Either because the flood caused mankind to go extinct or survivors are completely unaware theyโre still alive.
The story is sparse on some information:
>Is the story set in the RSE or ORAS timeline? The FNF mod states itโs ORAS.
>Did May failed at her battle against Team Aqua or Kyogre?
>What pokemon were in her team? What was her starter? Kinda odd her starter gets never mentioned or mourned by her in any fan media. Should be a big deal, after all.
>Shouldnโt she have any water or flying types that could evacuate her? What happened to them (a โdrowning water-typeโ doesnโt make sense)?
Plot holes:
>How is Ingrain able to prevent fainting, not to mention fatal injuries?
>Why didn't she use her water-type pokemon?
>If she failed at battling Kyogre, why didnโt she put the Aqua Suit back on?
>Where is Rayquaza?
>Wouldn't other legendaries interfere with Kyogre flooding the world?
>Why is the bow still there?
Since the effect of Ingrain can be transferred to other pokemon, we can ignore objections regarding Roselia using Ingrain on May.
2/5
Letโs move on to the meteorite, which I think would greatly improve the plot.
The meteorite is a key item which appears both in RSE and ORAS, but since itโs just a trade item in the former, we will mainly focus on itโs importance in the latter. Briefly put, the meteorite is crucial in restoring Rayquazaโs ability to Mega Evolve, in order to stop a world-ending meteor thatโs on course for Earth. We can deduce that tampering with or removing the meteorite could have severe consequences.
Now, what exactly is that meteorite? Itโs presented as a chunk of materialized Infinity Energy and seems to exhibit properties of both Key (item description: โitโs shining with seven colors of lightโ) and Mega Stones (Zinnia: โItโs just like...a Mega Stoneโ). Thereโs also this quote by Maxie which tells us that you could turn the meteorite โinto a Mega Stone. Even into a Key Stoneโ. Meaning the meteorite is possibly something more powerful than a Key or Mega Stone. For simplicityโs sake, letโs note down:
>The meteorite is a mysterious, Infinity Energy containing rock.
>Itโs something more powerful than a Key or Mega Stone.
Letโs talk about Infinity Energy next, as itโs the driving force that defines what the meteorite is capable of. Infinity Energy is described as the life force of pokemon. In XY, we learn that it can be used to revive the dead or to grant immortality (for example Az and his Floette and perhaps Lysandre as well). Not to mention thereโs a link to Xerneas, the embodiment of life. Infinity Energy can be also used as an energy source, as shown in ORAS, where the Devon Corporation uses Infinity Energy as rocket fuel or to power machinery. Letโs remember:
>Infinity Energy is associated with life force and immortality.
>It can be used as a power source.
3/5
Another concept worth mentioning are the core mechanics of Mega evolution. This entire gimmick revolves around how the synergy between pokemon and their trainers can unleash immense powers and thus make them stronger. A requirement for Mega evolution is a strong bond between a pokemon and its trainer though the games donโt take that premise too seriously, as you can Mega Evolve any pokemon you just caught. Thereโs also this motif of wishing. If you recall Hoennโs lore, Rayquazaโs Mega evolution was the result of the ancient peopleโs wish to save them from great danger. That means Mega Evolution can be also described as some sort of interplay between a trainerโs wish (โMy pokemon should exceed its powersโ) and that of a pokemon (โI want to live up to my trainerโs expectationsโ). If we apply this to Key and Mega Stones, we can conclude:
>Itโs the wish and strong bond of a trainer-pokemon-pair that causes Mega Evolution related stones to react.
4/5
Now, letโs sum up what we found out:
>Thereโs a mysterious space rock, containing Infinity Energy.
>A power capable of defying death and extending life.
>Which can be also used as a power source.
>Itโs related to Key and Mega Stones (probably more powerful).
>Which means it reacts to the inner desires of a trainer-pokemon-pair with a close friendship.
How does this fit into โIngrainedโ? Letโs see:
>The meteorite is conveniently stashed inside a bag.
>That bag belongs to a girl, who is experiencing the worst time of her life (soon going to be her last).
>Sheโs scared to death (pun not intended) and instinctively begging for her life.
>Near that girl is her faithful pokemon, which cannot bear its best friendโs imminent demise.
>Being overwhelmed with the situation, it uses a move capable of healing, even though it cannot prevent death.
>But Roselia doesnโt care, as itโs preoccupied with its desperate wish to protect its trainer.
Add one and one together, sprinkle some โfriendship is magicโ bullshit over it and voilรก:
>Roseliaโs Ingrain is now able to defy death.
The meteorite acts as some sort of arcane battery, fueling the roots with Infinity Energy and granting May and Roselia immortality (as long as theyโre under the effect of Ingrain, that is). With their bodies being kept alive - no matter how lethal their injuries are - their souls are unable to leave. Severing the roots is futile, as Infinity Energy made them more resilient. So cut them as much as you want, they will immediately grow back. The only way for May and Roselia to escape their fate is being nursed back to full health. Yet this seems impossible, as whenever they get healed, theyโre immediately maimed back to the brink of death.
All they can do is endure this agonizing equilibrium between drowning and reanimation, and wait for the meteorite to run out of energy, or hope that someone will eventually find them. Well, as for the latter...
5/5
I already mentioned the meteorite is a crucial item in the Delta Episode. With its absence, Rayquaza is unable to Mega Evolve and so cannot destroy the meteor. Unless there are other not mentioned countermeasures, itโs safe to assume the world ended shortly after May and Roselia disappeared.
May wouldnโt even know a meteor struck Earth (except when being hit unconscious by a massive surge, though she would be puzzled about what happened), as itโs only during the Delta Episode that she learns about the meteorโs existence. Meaning her hope for someone coming to their rescue was in vain from the start.
This would also make her entire guilt trip worse. Not only did she failed to stop Team Aqua, but because she wasnโt in the right place at the same time to deliver the meteorite, she indirectly caused another catastrophe to happen. Even though it's not her fault, humanity and many pokemon species are gone.
With that, the plot hole regarding the legendariesโ intervention would be resolved. Rayquaza couldn't stop Primal Kyogre or the meteor, because it wasn't able to Mega Evolve. Groudon couldn't go Primal either, as it wouldnโt have access to the Red Orb (which was also in Mayโs possession). Most legendaries would be overwhelmed with the entire situation, having to deal with two cataclysmic events in consecutive order. Not to mention the meteor strike being so severe, that even the strongest surviving legendary would have to rest for a long time. Kyogre on the other hand would be unscathed, as it could dive deep down the ocean and use the water masses above as a shield when the meteor hit Earth. With no natural enemies, it would become Earthโs only defining force of nature.
To answer
>>57876606, ORAS is better suited for the plot than RSE, as there are more canonical elements you can use to lay out a coherent story with less plot holes. Not only that, the consequences are more severe in ORAS, making the story much more dreadful.
>>57905017Nah, it's better this way. Big ass and no tits may be good, but big tits and no ass is just mediocre.
>>57904267Here's the prequel doodle.
>>57904271And here's level 2. If I remember correctly, Ruby's asking Sapphire to go to a room with him so he can measure her in private. But Emerald thinks they're about to have sex kek. Comic ends here though
>>57905198So then May has huge tits and big ass, while Sapphire has no tits but a huge ass?
>>57905452Can't read the scribbles on the prequel, but the second one goes like this:
R: You were doing something flashy again, weren't you
S: Well, my clothes got caught on a branch and then...
R: .... Come on, don't make this face
S: But...
E: Do you have a moment?
R: Well, undress for now
(1) Just the two of them in the room
(2) Teary eyes
(3) Indecent utterance
>>57905582Kek thanks for the translation. Emerald's existence coming down to being a weird looking background character OC only there to watch Ruby and Sapphire's relationship drama play out (since Hoenn's Battle Frontier is no longer relevant) is one of the most PokeSpe things of all time.
>>57905627The only thing I remember about Emerald is that he's a midget that pisses from roofs. I think the story could have done without him.
Should have been our girl conquering the battle frontier!
>>57905092>>57905100>>57905110>>57905121>>57905158With the context of the loredump your meteorite idea makes sense. I actually forgot the Delta Episode meteor wasn't present in RSE, so the stakes of ORAS actually would be higher assuming the events of the Delta Episode occur not long after May gets Ingrained at the bottom of the sea.
Though in the case of Ingrained I guess the timeline is the Alpha Sapphire one, since Kyogre's the one that wakes up right? Which means in this scenario, the sequence of events is
>Kyogre floods Hoenn>May disappears in the floods then gets Ingrained>Delta Episode meteor hits earth and kills everyone>But May (and Roselia) are immortal and are the only survivorsAs for some of the remaining plot holes:
>What pokemon were in her team? What was her starter? If the end goal of the story is having May completely lose, the easiest way to do that is just setting her up to fail. So maybe her starter was Torchic, and even as a Blaziken it obviously couldn't handle Kyogre's floods because of type disadvantage. If you want to play up May's innocence, maybe she was actually a shit trainer with an imbalanced team who also couldn't handle water types very well (minus Roselia).
>Shouldnโt she have any water or flying types that could evacuate her? What happened to them (a โdrowning water-typeโ doesnโt make sense)? If she had a Surf mon, it was a shitmon like Luvdisc, who she only picked because it was cute. Maybe this May was more interested in contests than battles or the Pokemon League. Also Luvdisc are on the smaller side and have a thin shape, so it doesn't drown in the floods, it's just so incompetent and fucking useless that it gets washed away and buried under rubble faster than it can help its trainer.
As for flying types, similarly her flying mon is small and unevolved like Taillow (since Roselia itself is unevolved). Taillow is so tiny and maybe even underlevelled that it just gets washed away out of pure incompetence.
>>57905984So that's four team members:
>Roselia>Torchic/Combusken/Blaziken (if this May is that incompetent, it'd still be a Torchic)>Luvdisc>TaillowMaybe the remaining two are also shitmons like Beautifly and Chimecho. It's not like May doesn't have any good Pokemon at all, but all her decent ones might be trapped in the PC storage system. The six on her team are the ones she singled out as the cutest or something. She wasn't prepared for the real world at all. Which makes her fate of being trapped in eternal underwater torture even more tragic.
Or if you don't want to go the incompetent May route, maybe she was actually competent but sacrificed her best Pokemon to help other people. So if she had a good Surfer like Swampert, maybe she instructed it to rescue her family instead, same goes for her other Pokemon. Even if it left herself with nothing but a tiny ass Roselia. May's heroic efforts to save the people she cared about turning out to be useless in the end (after the meteor kills everyone) becomes the main tragedy.

>>57907784So what's sloshing, her stomach? Her ass?
>>57907934Based
>>57907526>>57907494imagine ruining her belly with your brats
>>57907784>>57907948Milk in her breasts or cum in her ass if she does anal.
>>57907934Next OP, since it's been suggested before, and for the memes.
>>57908045My only contention is that this pic is too zoomed in, so you can't see enough of the hairstyle for it to clearly be May (or Sapphire in this case). I think these would be more suitable
>>57907013>>57896559>>57890916>>57890142
>>57908060>>57907419Or if you really want a funny OP pic then use bike May.
>>57907673That's the second fanfic I see giving the protag the surname Maple. Is that an ashnime thing? Or just something fic writers all agreed on?
>>57907102I think this is on FFnet, though it still only goes to meteor falls. Itโs been dead for a while, though the author has updated earlier chapters at times.
>>57908132Alliteration, mostly. May Maple, Brendan Birch.
>>57907722>>57907727>>57907734>>57907739Yeesh, they're not even being subtle.
>>57908060Nah,
>>57907934 is very clearly Sapphire, even from just the thumbnail.
>>57908132"May Maple" has basically been the majority and de facto English fanfic name since back in the 2000s. I personally find it annoying, but it's never going to go away, so you just learn to live with it.
