That sequence really is such a gutpunch. The shadows of past memories, and Mari's words the whole time.

Also I was checking up on the dialogue dump so I didn't have to write the above down manually, and I noticed she has an unused line sandwiched between "Are you okay with that?" and "I'm not too sure..."

I think they might have meant for this scenario to play out on Hikikomori and Mari would have said that line instead of "I'm not too sure...". How sad. But I prefer that she doesn't appear on the other route. Like even Mari can't reach Sunny where he's going anymore.
