Probably not. You want a short stock on the gun and you likely get racoon eye by scopes that far back.

Widest possible sling points allow for the most control of the rifle possible. When you have a can, lam and other bullshit on the nose with nothing in the rear you want to be able to suck that gun down as much as you can. You can also get better sling support with the wider spaced sling swivels.
Obvious exception for folding stocks
