That sounds like the adventure time fanbase and people complaining about HW being a consolation prize for Finn or whatever.
This show is more along the lines that every option sucks in some way, but so does Timmy, and Tootie's flaws are offset enough by her being a rare genuine good person in the cartoon, so just wholesale changing her appearance was unnecessary. At the least I agree she should've kept the glasses.
