This. Unironically. When there is just one armed attack half of the political spectrum will loose their minds over banning the specific weapon or weapons in general.
Motorist attack: 'Accident' is the politically correct euphemism and if it's beyond doubt proven not to be an accident well maybe not have people attack others duh.
People will be signalling virtue all day long by talking shit how then being frugal in an isolated case or consumung stuff the marketing departement promised was 'carbon neutral'.
Meanwhile the same people will use motorvehicles and heat living spaces. Two most unneccessary things that, in my country for example, make up around half of the greenhouse gas emissions.
>BUTWHATABOUT
no.
Cars maim people, cars kill people, cars pollute the air everyone has to breathe, cars cause their users to become docile, mentally and phyically weak. Cars are entirely obsolete. Perhaps in a transition phase some people would really depend on them because we have by now created a world made for the car but they are the exception. In such a case it should be required to have a diligent and educated professional and licensed driver. Most people holding drivers licenses have become desensitized or are really just plain assholes. The result is reckless driving, endangering others, sometimes even causing noise and airpollution aswell as endangerment on purpose. A professional driver whose livelyhood depends on the license would on the other hand act professional (wow). A professional could also expected to undergo regular renewal of licensing. The current drivers license system does not test for psychological abnormality. Psychopaths for example make up 1-2% of the population, at the same time they are more likely to be motorists as not caring is their hallmark. Do we see 2% of appicants being rejected because of their mental state? No? Drivers licenses are being handed out to psychopaths.
