APL doesn't matter much when scoring, it's the girls stats + any increase she gets from her activated skills. The only thing APL increasing skills do is let you get tension burst more quickly/often but that's bad because using tension burst will lower your APL until you max it out again. So it's better to turn off auto tension burst if your girls can clear the match without it.

The absolute best bromides are the dolce suit ones that provide STM reduction and increase TEC/POW but those are birthday suits. If you don't have em, there are free options that only increase one but I don't know what they are.
