Well the antlers are a good indicator but really the coloring is the giveaway, elk have that tan body while moose are all dark brown.
Also horns and antlers are different. Antlers are shed, horns are permanent.
But that's just me being pedantic, since antlers do fall under the dictionary definition of horns (I think). But biologically, they are different
