NTA but it appears they're using brown UHMW tape. No sense in trying to make it seem like some super magical secret. It would hold up much better than electrical or kapton tape; I wouldn't use those if you can help it.. I added two layers on my d-pad and buttons, worked perfectly. Cheap enough on amazon, so grab some. Good to have around the house regardless.
