It's just a logical extension of the foundational principles Jesus set forward. Jesus made a point of hanging out with social pariahs, forgiving their sins and saying things like they'll be first place in heaven rather than the righteous; those who have the most sin will love the forgiver the most and therefore be the most righteous. The Parable of the Prodigal Son reveals this conundrum perfectly. Is it any surprise that 2000 years later, at the height of Christian dominance and population, that there would be a pride window in a church? How would the church refuse them? On what grounds?

Jesus preaches nothing so well as forgiveness, unconditional love and acceptance. While I'm sure everyone's frothing at the mouth about how that doesn't mean trannies and non-binary, which weren't really things in Jesus's time, the fact is that the logical extension of those values is to forgive and accept such people, which means removing negative consequences for the behavior, which means the behavior will continue. Any parent could tell you that.

You want the behavior to stop? Fine, but you have to stop being Christlike first. Depart from Christ and start judging your neighbor, and then you can have reprieve.
