He was already knocking on death's door by the time the prototype took him outta his misery. It's also not really the best idea to give the prototype any strength feats from being able to pierce catnap considering the fact that we know a normal grinder can crush Mommy (who was way more flexible than CatNap). This is all without mentioning DogDay who was shown to have about the same resilience as a regular human when it came to the mini critters being able to take bites out of him without any teeth to speak of.
