People were discussion how to implement more human pirate units but I don't like how Nanu's overhaul handled it. It gives the human equivalent of the zombie units, but the devs created a fun dichotomy between the two that should be respected. Zombie pirates are a stationary wall of HP that shoots stuff from across the map, human pirates are a glass cannon melee-rush faction with some fun tricks up their sleeves. Any new units they add for the human pirates should respect this.They should be fast, hit hard, and they should melt to ranged fire.
She shouldn't be a Border Princes faction. They're just Cathay, but Italian and will never exist. Let her keep her undead pirate units and pass the living ones around. Pirates will work for anyone for the right price. Maybe give Noct an upkeep increase for them since he's such a dick.
Just Skarsnik her. She is Skarsnik and the human units are her Night Goblins.Give her a faction buff for them, give her a custom garrison with them. Add a couple interesting variations of them.

>Give her slayer pirates at T3. They're fast and squishy.
>Give her landships at T5. They're fast and squishy.
>Sapper hero - Weakish melee hero with bound explosive abilities for popping holes in the enemy front line or instantly destroying walls/fortifications. The opposite of the gunnery wight.
>T3 version of the human pirate units with similar stats but a powerful install, like Night Goblins vs Night Goblin Fanatics. Something like "Frenzy" from Rome 2 which was like the unit equivalent of "Killing blow".
>T5 special companies. A very expensive, low model count melee unit with meh stats but bring a specific AoE buff or debuff to the melee line. (Ex. Immune to psychology, Slows enemies, etc.) Like a pirate grail relique but implemented more like the Priest-type units in Rome 1.
I just want her to stay fast-faced and fun to play.
