Plato's Form of the Good
In Plato’s philosophy (especially in The Republic), the Form of the Good is the highest and most perfect reality.
It is not a “god” in the personal sense, but rather the ultimate source of all truth, beauty, justice, and being.
Plato compares it to the sun: just as the sun allows us to see things with our eyes, the Form of the Good allows the soul to know and understand all other Forms (truth, beauty, justice, etc.).
