Common sense tells most people that: Half a game is half a game, you can't judge someone on just half a game, right? It was a 7 point game heading into 4th then the Bills curbstomped the Chiefs in the 4th (10-0)
Also, I watched it live too....how did you expect that game to play out?
Back when I watched it live (not at the stadium), I didn't know much about the NFL either, but like everyone else, I knew the Chiefs were not that good and the Bills were awesome.
What was going through your brain heading into that game? That the Chiefs were awesome and the Bills sucked? Could be that was the case because you were some 8 year old peak delusional Chiefs fan at the time, right?
1993 Bills
>(best record in the NFL, along with the Cowboys and the Oilers who Montana & the Chiefs knocked out the previous playoff game...Those three teams, BUF/HOU/DAL also had the most All Pros in the NFL that year)
#3 total offense in the AFC (Moon, Elway)
#11 passing yds/ #8 rushing yds in the NFL
#5 scoring defense in the NFL
1993 Chiefs
#9 total offense in the AFC (behind 8 AFC teams)
#15 passing yds / #20 rush yds in the NFL
#14 scoring defense in the NFL
Keep in mind there were only 28 teams at the time so your Chiefs were a pretty mid team, just like everyone thought at the time besides you
There is the offensive starters in pic related, that's a washed Joe Montana with age 33 Marcus Allen. You really were expecting them to fuck some shit up with that surrounding caste?
You know what OL is right? Do you understand why OL is important? I don't even have to look up the Chiefs OL to tell you they were a liability vs Bruce Smith and Cornelius Bennett
John Alt - good?
Dave Szott - 7thR pick still on rookie deal
Tim Grunhard - started forever for the Chiefs, made a Pro Bowl in 1999
Will Shields - rookie
Ricky Siglar - undrafted, never really made it in the league
