For my house (1 standard door, 1 sliding glass door, 3 "egress windows", 2 kitchen windows, 1 bathroom window) the company that quoted me wanted $8,900 for cheap steel bar/screen security doors and window bars. The kind shown in pic related. I ended up putting an accordion gate on my sliding glass door, I'll probably put up a home depot special on the front door (similar to pic) and buy some cheap expanded metal egress window frames and do the install myself.
