I think boatgirls started the trend of "Turn X into girl" gacha games, and they became absolutely titanic from it. Making any other type of vehicle girls gacha is just gonna get you compared to Kantai Collection/Azur Lane and brushed off. A gacha game can't survive if it can't hook people in with the premise.
