One big advantage of the 3DS VC is that it supports link cable stuff with local wireless, if you have someone else who has one of course. It was cool that I could relive nostalgia with my brother that way. I think the only emulator handheld that you can actually do multiplayer with is the Analogue Pocket since it has an actual link cable port.
