I understand that "EVE protocol concluded = Merge with Adam", but it doesn't have to be. Since EVE killed the only Adam in the world in The Return to the Colony ending, the EVE protocol would also conclude in that scenario. Either way, the EVE Protocol should end.

But more than that, the EVE protocol could be more generic like "evolve andro-eidos". Or the EVE protocol could conclude because it was a failure. When something fails, you sometimes end it and start from scratch or reboot or something.

I'm not sure what Mother Sphere is planning, because throughout the game, it's been demonstrated that Mother Sphere is not trustworthy. You can't really trust what she says is true, you can't trust what her followers say about her, and you can't even really trust what Mother Sphere's enemies say about her.

I would only say that I think Mother Sphere is planning something. Which doesn't say much, but that seems for sure.
