Just reporting back in 3 months later.
Been daily commuting on these tyres, and so far I'm very impressed.

The trade off for excellent puncture protection seems to be reduced comfort and slightly increased rolling resistance, honestly that seems like a fair trade. I'm amazed that I had no punctures so far, the route is strewn with broken glass and thorns, yeah, would recommend Gatorskin Ultras.
