Honestly that actually sounds like a good idea. Even more so if Nintendo was willing to put characters from other series they own from their IP backlog, including the ones made by non-EPD teams like Old Man Lobstar from Starfy or Jagen (any old person) from FE.
Best part of that game would be how many war stories would be shared between everyone.
