I was never really on board with either side because they wanted to censor the same thing about our media for different reasons.
Conservatives want to censor to edgy shit and sex because it corrupts our values, liberals want to censor edgy shit and sex because it might make people uncomfortable.
Both sides want me to consume a bland gruel that serves their worldview and they're the only sides of any issue with any power, so it's always just been a case of "pick your own poison".
There was always a bigger picture here, and I saw it, but there was nothing that could be done about it.
