I'm not claiming Persia's achievements since most of their biggest achievements was after the Arab conquest. The majority of Islamic Golden Age scholars were Persians that looked like modern day Persians.
On the other hand Iranians and the Iranian language are a special case of a middle eastern people that originated from the Russian steppe. Pic related is a Scythian (another Iranian people) sample for example from Hungary.
