This is true, and it makes sense, but it still rubs me the wrong way. If you had a family member, would it matter how many times the day reset to save them? And I get that it's a gameplay narrative so that you have an excuse to actually fight him and not die or have a chance. Honestly killing Papyrus in general is just unacceptable.
Undyne's reaction to you killing him in a neutral route is still one of my favorite moments. It's really amusing that Undyne's thunder is stolen by you if you go pacifist, but her true traits and strengths are revealed if you deviate from it at all.
I expect Susie's character is probably of a similar mettle, which will make for some very kino moments in 5-7.
It definitely brings up more questions on what the fuck the skeletons are. What the connection to Deltarune is with the workshop, the photo and Grillby's, why we haven't seen Papyrus yet.

I can't tell if you're shitposting or being intentionally duplicitous. I even stated how much I like Alphys x Undyne in my first post. Susie and Undyne are both great characters with very similar flaws, being their inability to just put their guard down at the expense of being "uncool". You see this when you save Monster Kid in the pacifist route.
