You ever wonder why some anime get stuck in LaserDisc limbo?
Here's Kero Kero Chime from 1997. A quasi mahou shojo anime based on a manga that was printed on Ribon. Normal boy gets a spell put on him that transforms him into a frog whenever he touches water, then he is transported to an alternative world to meet a frog princess. I can't really say this is a great anime, the animation veers more on the low budget side, but it has such a cute style and nostalgic vibe throughout the entire thing that I found it pleasing to watch. Even the opening is really catchy.

But this anime is so obscure. The weirdest thing is that both the anime and manga have been translated thanks to a translation team from 2001. Its funny, there are tons of more popular shoujo anime that haven't gotten any subs to this day, yet this really obscure one did. Unfortunately, the rip they used cut out the title card and end preview, and are not the best quality.
Also, it seems Kero Kero Chime only got a LD release in the late 90s, and there has never been another new release since.
