I'm not sure what point you're trying to make. Within the goddess tower, Dimitri says that he doesn't really believe in the goddess. But that she doesn't exist but that he doesn't think the goddess is that interested in reaching out to people. She's content to just sit in the sky and observe. And even if the goddess did reach out, it's not like people are capable of reaching out towards her in kind.
Post timeskip and Dimitri is finally able to feel warmth of Byleth's hand however after taking Fhirdiad, Dimitri says that Byleth taught him how to live. That it's because of their instruction that Dimitri didn't go out and die for no reason. Byleth isn't just the goddess, they're people. In fact the only ones who see Byleth as just the goddess are Rhea and the Slitherers
