desktops suck on Linux
tried different WMs back in the day (i3, bspwm) - too much hassle to set up, still looked weird with pop-up windows
tried DEs (all major - KDE, gnome, XFCE, LXDE MATE, cinnamon) - some better, some worse, still felt unpolished
switched to mac back in mojave days - I'll happy now
yeah, every update since mojave kinda makes things worse and worse, maybe someday i'll switch back
but for now - mac for main computer, linux for "server"
